• Spent a few weeks re-translating and coding all the 2013 information about villages from the TirejAfrin website. Around 340 in total. This was the last big one before continuing with writing articles.
• A regular update of around 20 videos worth of transcripts, videos, summaries, etc.

• Added 330 Subtitle files. These files are for most of the videos collected in the archive.

January 19, 2026

• Major Update! ALL (hundreds) of summaries have been replaced with much more true-to-transcript data. Hundreds of transcripts and transcript translations added! Thousands more data points added. Still a lot more to improve, but this update is months of work.

October 25, 2025

• Researched and added etymology sections to around 340 villages.
• Also increased the archive's number of villages from 350 to contain 365.

• Added and consolidated villages to better reflect reality. There were previously 367 villages listed as separate villages, which was not correct. There are now 350 distinct villages in the archive. Mostly, the existence of these villages have been verified, but adding/consolidating/removing villages in the archive is a constant work in progress.

• Added a fundational data to hundreds of village files. This is for a current project that's looking into the origins of Afrin's contemporary villages. The new infographic mentioned below is also connected with this.

• Added an Infographics section! Check it out here.
• Also added a new infographic to it - The Ottoman Empire Snowballs into Disasters 1520-1720
