Şêx Hûrû is remembered as an ancestor of the village's sheikh family, and the Fatiha is read at the place that bears his name. His descendants were known for a healing power, wicax, and as followers of the Rifa'i, Şêx Silêman, and Ebdulqadir Geylanî Sufi orders.1
Ritual Practices & Beliefs
On Friday evenings they perform dhikr, the devotional practice of repeating the names and praises of God, joined by whoever wishes, at the order of the elder.2
