Şêx Mehmûd is a shrine of Xelîlaka in the Bilbilê sub-district.
Physical & Landscape Features
It honours a martyr, Şêx Mehmûd, and stands at the top of Serê Sûrê, an old fort, where villagers go up to visit it. Beside it is an ancient deep rock-cut underground structure, the Zîrzemî, which an elder says was once a water cistern or spring.1
