Kenîse Julyanos is one of the shrines of Bircilqazê, a separate site from Marmarûn.
Dedicated Figure & Historical Roots
A local account says that, after Marmarûn died, disagreement arose among the villages around Mount Lêlûn. The people of Barad took Marmarûn's remains and buried them at the church known as Julyanos, where the tomb still stood when the account was given.1
