Physical & Landscape Features

The shrine stands at the highest eastern point of Çiyayê Hemûdê û Sadiq, the eastern of the two mountains beside the village, which takes its name from the shrine.1

Historical & Religious Context

Roger Lescot's 1938 survey of the Yezidis of Syria records the shrine as Brîm Sadiq and lists it together with the nearby Evdelmennan shrine, the shrine of Menan, placing both between Mefelê and Qatme.2
