The founding family of Meydankê traces its ancestor, Şêx Salih, to Baghdad in Iraq, from where he came to the Afrin region. A guest recounts that the tombs of Şêx Îs and Şêx Ebdurehman lie at a place called Şêx Îsa, east of Azaz beyond Tel Rifaat, through which the family passed before Şêx Salih settled at Naza.1
