Şêx Berkêt is a shrine of Kanî Gewrkê in the Cindires sub-district.
The mountain-top shrine of Şêx Berekat south of Efrîn has its own page. It is not clear whether the Kanî Gewrkê accounts refer to that shrine or to a local site.
Ritual Practices & Beliefs
A village woman interviewed in the Ax û Welat visit to Kanî Gewrkê (Episode 1311) recalls that they used to visit it year by year, but they no longer go because a militia checkpoint has been set up there.1
