Dedicated Figure & Historical Roots
Hecî, an elder of Tirmûşa, treats Dêr Durmişa as the proof of the village's history and name, saying "the ruin where our history was proven, we are Dêr Durmiş." He says the Peacock Angel appeared in this shrine, repeating that "the Peacock appeared in it."2 He also separates this Dêr Durmiş from another of the same name. The Dêr Durmişî of Mount Leylun are different people, while the Tirmûşa villagers are the Tirmîşî of the west, of the Şiyê area.3
