Kînisîk is a shrine and ruin of Çeqelê Cûmê.

Physical & Landscape Features

Şikefta Kersendaşê is a separate place nearby, in the direction of 'Oşka to the east. Local men entered about 100 meters into it without reaching the end.2

Dedicated Figure & Historical Roots

Locally, Kînisîk is remembered as a very old small church. Armenian visitors from Aleppo are said to have called it a Roman/Rûm church, and researchers are said to have dated it to about 1,000 years ago.1
