Kurkê Jêrin

The Mele Şikrî Heyder shrine/cemetery (Kurdish: Meqbeza Mele Şikrî Heyder) is one of the shrines of Kurkê Jêrin. It is an old cave cemetery, formerly called Meqbezê Cilqa, and is said to be about 200 years old.1

Meqbezê Mala Çewê is a separate cemetery, not another name for this one. When asked whether there were two cemeteries, Walid, the local man who presents the village in the Khalil Sino video of Kurkê Jêrin, said both were still standing.2
